Young Adult.

Yesterday I received Young Adult from Netflix and watched it last night!
(Ivy! I'm doing better at watching movies right away and then returning it!)
Jason Reitman, famous for his Juno movie teams up with Diablo Cody again in this movie that pretty much seems made for Charlize Theron.
I haven't seen Charlize Theron in a movie in a very long time but I think this role was made for her. About a beautiful girl, who was popular in High School, and still thinks she can get whatever she wants and treat people however the way she wants to.
I wouldn't say I loved this movie, but it was fun to watch. It is a very slow movie. I'm sure everyone in their childhood dealt with one of those 'popular' girls during their time in High School. Pretty much makes you want to gag for some reason.
I think my favorite character in this movie however, was Matt, played by Patton Oswalt. He was a genuine character. I did like how she was writing a book that relates to her life and she would use statements that she heard from girls in stores, and use it in her book.
I think they could have added...a little something. I'm not quite sure what it was lacking, but it's not one of those movies that will be memorable. With that said, I still think you should watch it, and I still enjoyed it very much.

50/50.

A cancer...comedy?! Sounds kind of odd and unnatural right? It's more like a dark comedy based on a true story.
Joseph Gordon Levitt and Seth Rogen together had a really great chemistry. Having a goofy friend like Seth Rogen's character during hard times, is probably medicine for a lot of people.
It is a very heart warming movie. Throughout the movie you just wait and wait for Andrew to show his true emotions on how he feels about what has happened to him.
Once he does let those emotions out, you can just feel it. You get a feeling of..'FINALLY'. Finally, he's come to grips.
The end of the movie would make anybody smile. Especially because they play the song Yellow Ledbetter at the end :D kee hee hee.

Ides of March.

This is the first 'George Clooney' Directed movie for me. This movie was really great. Don't know much about politics? That's okay! You can still enjoy the movie. A couple of surprise actor/actress in the movie that I didn't realize was in the movie. Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Marisa Tomei!! I did NOT know she was in it! She's such a great actress, it would be nice to see her in more films. Ryan Gosling was great as usual in this movie. He's really good at being a really hot, calm pissed off guy. (see DRIVE)
George Clooney has a pretty small role, important but small and that's now understandable since he's also the director. I'm not much of a Clooney fan but his role in this film was...handsome.
Watch it!! It will be enjoyed by many.

Kony 2012.

This video is about 29 minutes long and though you may think it's a waste of time to sit there and watch a video about something you don't really know anything about, please just take the time and do it.
I watched it and have been impacted by it.
So...Ivy!! Since you're the only one that reads my blogs, watch it please! I would really appreciate it a lot. :)

Purr...

So Friday night, I went to my all time favorite trusty bar Hooverville :) Went with a couple of co-workers, then my friend joined in later and I hung out with Trevor and Sean (from the bar) the rest of the night. It was a blast and a half. Hoover makes me feel super welcome! Then my buddy Fatch and I were like..hmm...it's only 10..let's go to a gay bar!! So I was like WOOT! I know of one I've always wanted to go to! And off we went to Broadway...
After a while of finding a parking spot (found a pretty legit spot too btw.!) we were on our way to...Purr~

Now, on our way to Purr, we were pretty hungry so we decided to get a hot dog! It was cash only and I had no cash when all of a sudden, a super cute obviously gay guy came up to and said..."Can I buy you your wiener?" Ummmm...YES please!! Hahaha he was so nice! Randomly, for no reason at all, since he wasn't getting one but his boyfriend was, he wanted to my the wiener for me! And he phrased it just like that too, I was quite ecstatic. His name was Joshua, not Josh, but Joshua. I think that totally made my night! We talked for a while, they were going to a different gay bar called R-Place. (which we almost went to but I only knew where Purr was).
We said our lovely farewells, said we would see each other soon when of course, we will most likely never see them again. Ah~ Lovely times!
So off we went to Purr with our wieners in our hand! We entered, it was dark but nice and pretty. You know, I gotta say, it was like a regular club/bar except with a lot of men. I would go again! I do have to say though, as a female, it was definitely a little harder to get drinks! I thought that was only in movies but no, it's true!!
The music! Oh the music there was fantasmo! Robyn was playing, Toni Braxton was playing and the best one? N'Sync POP! Dirty Pop? Can't remember what it was called but it was great hearing that song and watching everyone dance :D
After one VERY STRONG drink that I couldn't finish, we decided to go meet up with some new friends that I had recently met the night before at...:

Julia's on Broadway! (I wish I had my camera that night man...could have taking some amazing pictures with new people!)
Anyways, I met a few of these guys on Thursday night at Kate's Pub, I was getting ready to go home and they were all playing pool when they started talking to me. So I decided to chill out and stay! Played a couple of games of pool and closed down the bar man. It was great times. It's been a while since I've had a REALLY good time out and about. So anyways, I met up with them at Julia's on Broadway because the whole lot works there. And then went to some house where they all gathered and smoked some hookah. By this time though..it was getting really late so I peaced out around 4!

All in all, Seattle treated me very well that night. Thank you Seattle and the wonderful people that live here! :D
