Day Three.
Day three and I'm still waking up so tired. Perhaps because I can't really sleep at night. It was easier to sleep with a drink, it's a bit harder without one! I guess it doesn't help that I work at night.
Quitting Drinking!
I've told a few people around me about it, and they definitely have their doubts. Hell, so do I!
I'm on day two of no drinks. Can't say I was tempted but no cravings at all. Last night I was offered two whiskey shots and I kindly said "No thank you!" I feel like my coworkers are testing me, playing with me. Today I saw the Seahawks game at a bar, and my were there so many choices of beer on tap! Oh how I do miss my IPA! But I sat there and had a tonic with lime, which I totally recommend if you are not drinking but still want to drink at a bar. It was very gin and tonic esque.
Why am I trying to be sober for a month? Few things. Probably wouldn't hurt to slow down, I am almost thirty. I'd like to see how it will affect my body, like energy wise. Waking up earlier, not being so lazy and tired all the time. Also interested about it financially. I wonder how much money I will save by not drinking....that might be the scariest thing to find out! One of he many reasons why I like to drinking because of the way it affects me around other people. I constantly think I am no fun unless I am drinking. I hope that's not the case and that people can still enjoy my company. We shall see how that goes! And perhaps I will keep updating about it! Ta-ta for now!!

Gah Japan!! 日本だべや!
It has been eighteen years, almost nineteen years since I moved to the beautiful State of Washington and fallen in love with the wonderful City of Seattle. But I have missed my home country, Japan. Yes, I was young and don't remember too much about it, and I have lived in America for most of my life but I still consider it my home. My pops and I left on October 9 and arrived in the future, October 10 in Tokyo Japan!
We pretty much had VIP status! We were even able to wait in a special room with free food and free drinks at the airport. Our seats on the plane were a lot roomier too and oh my, the amount of movies that was available was crazy.
It's restaurant we stopped in! やきとり屋さんです!

Regulars.
Regular Customer No. 1
Very nice guy, comes in almost every Saturday for lunch and sits in the exact same spot with water and tea. Seat number five at the counter. Usually he has a newspaper to read but it looks like he just has his cellphone today. Orders a Maguro Avocado Don with sushi rice and a smile on his face!
Regular Customer No. 2
This guy comes in every now and then, usually with his girlfriend but looks like he's by himself today. Water and tea also and always orders the Spicy Vegetarian Don with some salmon added to it. Always! Since his lady is not here, today he is watching soccer on his phone.
Some chick just snapped her fingers at me... IGNORE.
Regular Customer No. 3
These two come in almost every Saturday! Older gentleman and younger lady, I think it is a father daughter duo. I like that they come in every Sautrday for a lunch date. It's sweet. They always order random things but almost always seared albacore sashimi :)
And that is my lunch shift. A little crazy today being the only server but not so bad overall. And now....on to the dreaded dinner shift!

It's Turquoise!
Have you seen this before!? Apparently it's from Hokkaido Japan but it's a blue beer! It's an extremely light beer and basically tastes like beer water haha. I guess they got the beer to go with Seahawks colors!
Oysters, Beers, and a Show.
Want some great oysters?? A nice place to check is Ballard Annex! Had some beer, tasty oysters, some of the best type of baby octopus I've had and some wonderful chowder. All while watching a foot game :)
On our way back to the car, we passed by Tractor Tavern only to realize Everlast was playing! Do you remember them? Very impromptu but we went in to watch the show. It was so unexpected but so surprisingly worth it! Time has passed but he still sang everything well. It ended up being a real great date night. And it was also the night of the eclipse and blood moon!
Not a photo by me, but this was the night of the eclipse and blood moon in Seattle.
The next morning we had some Cappuccinos at a local coffee shop :)
