There Will Be Blood.

Finally watched this movie, and I am glad that I did. I would say I was missing out. Daniel Day-Lewis. That man can act. Every time he came on scene I sat up an paid attention to everything he said. The way he delivers, the way he talks, he pulls you in to the story.  Paul Dano playing Eli was excellent, I loved his character and hated his character at the same time.  He does it so well.  "Daniel your house is on fire!" Never thought a movie about an oil man would have been played out so well.  Pretty intriguing movie for being kind of slow. I loved it. Every time the oil gushed out, it was like victory.  When it caught on fire, it was scary and beautiful.  If you haven't watched it yet because of the 'hype', get over that and watch it, it's good.

It's A Disaster.

This movie is so not what I was expected.  I didn't go in thinking it was an apocalypse movie whatsoever, but yes, it is.  Well, not so much an apocalypse but more of a chemical attack. I pretty much thought it was just titled that way because the friends all getting together ruin each other's lives in some way. Which kind of did happen in a way, but also brought them all closer.  The acting in this movie is pretty solid.  I probably wouldn't have paid to see this so you shouldn't either...it is streaming on Netflix, which is how I watched it. The ending leaves you wondering what they all ended up doing since it cut of so abruptly.

Man of Tai Chi.

Yes Please! This movie was great.  People don't expect much from Keanu Reeves, I personally love the guy.  The first five minutes into this movie and I was already interested.  Keanu plays a rich man with money to spare and likes to control and change people lives. Tai Chi is a martial arts technique mainly used slowly and for health benefits.  But this man, Tiger Chen uses is to fight and to see his fighting moves and techniques is nothing but amazing.  The bigger the opponent the harder he fights and the crazier the moves.  Highly entertaining movie and it's always good to see a fight scene with Keanu/Neo. Not a lot of people would like this i'm sure but I wouldn't mind watching this movie again just to enjoy the fighting technique.

Prince Avalanche.

Wasn't sure what to expect from this movie, I didn't read much about it and the trailer didn't show much.  With that said, it was very enjoyable.  It's good seeing Emile Hirsch on the big screen again. Last time I saw him was in Into the Wild which is a superb film.  You would think an entire film with only two characters on screen wouldn't strike you as a movie you would want to see, but the chemistry between Rudd and Hirsch make it fun.  And while Hirsch is explaining his weekend to Rudd, you can picture in your head exactly what happened and exactly what other characters he's talking about. Great rainy day film I say you should watch it!  AND the music is great! I'm not sure which bands are involved in this movie, but I would like to find out.
