Iron Man 2.

Iron Man 2. This is another movie I watched right before seeing The Avengers so that I can get a better feel of the movie.  Iron Man 1 was great and I saw it as soon as it was released! I waited a while to see Iron Man 2 though.  It wasn't grabbing my attention too much! It was a good movie though. Fun action and the usually witty comments by Tony Stark and the odd placement of Gwenyth Paltrow as Pepper Potts.  It was nice seeing Black Widow in the movie but her role was extremely minor. They could have used some more of her for sure! I love the fact that Don Cheadle was in it and that War Machine finally made it's appearance! Hopefully he'll be involved in more Iron Man movies! There isn't too much to say about this movie..it's great! Pretty much like all superhero movies are :)

The Fall.

This movie is another one of Erika's Favorites. I absolutely love this film. I was very hesitant to see this movie at first mainly because I had NO idea what it was about but I am so glad I did. I instantly fell in love with it and have seen it numerous times since.  This film is directed by Tarsem Singh and if you don't know him, he is very well known for the visual aspects of his movie. For instance, The Cell.  Wonderfully creepy movie but visually spectacular! His colors POP. One of things I love about this movie, is that Tarsem Singh financed the majority of this film with his own money. That just tells you he wanted to really make this film for himself and make it HIS way. He spent four years, traveling to 20 countries capturing beautiful images. The story of the movie is cute too, and really heartwarming. This is one of those gems in my collection. I will always love this movie!  I've only ever seen Lee Pace in the TV series Pushing Daisies and he was so incredible in this movie!

Drive.

How have I NOT done a Drive review yet? HUH????!!? That's just crazy talk. This is by far, my favorite movie since 2011. And it might stay that way for a very very long time. I went into the theater expecting a full on adrenaline rush of a movie with crazy car chases. When I left the theater, I had no words. It was SO not what I expected, but in a very good way. I would have been sick of yet another car chase movie and this was anything but. People either love or hate this movie and I happen to fall into the LOVE column. This is a pretty slow paced movie so those of you that don't have patience, you might not enjoy it. But the slowness is worth the wait. Ryan Gosling's character is incredible he's a romantic quiet man who bursts out with darkness. And you know what else? The Soundtrack. I think this movie has THE best soundtrack of any movie I have ever seen. I'm practically obsessed with this movie and even proceeded to purchase two of the soundtrack vinyls just because they art work was different on both.
This is a must see movie. You will be on the edge of your seat. Go watch it! And this director, I haven't seen any of his previous films but from now on, I will be watching all of them. He is now on my list of directors to watch out for. I watched about 15 minutes of Valhalla Rising, and it looks incredible. Await my review of that movie!

Lost in Translation.

Now, I'm also doing reviews on movies I've already seen but recently watched again since I've gotten my Netflix account :) This, is Lost in Translation. A Sofia Copolla Beauty. I don't really know of what to say about this film, but it's incredible. I really liked Scarlett Johansson in this movie, she was so...normal. Cute, plain, adorable and fun. And Bill Murray. Bill.Fucking.Murray. He's pretty much the shit. :D The chemistry between the two character's is so..unique. It makes me want it! They both have their respectable partners sure, but still what they had seemed real. The way they can easily joke around, serenade each other, run around town, it was perfect for the two of them being in a foreign country and not knowing anybody. . And the very end, oh the very end. I didn't want them to be separated, all I wanted was for them to be together. And when he whispers in her ear, it just gives you shivers. Watch the movie. It's magnificent. :)

Thor.

I will admit, when I first saw previews to this movie, I was like MEH. Don't want to see it at all. Looks DUMB. And so I never watched it. Plus...I didn't really know what Thor was all about. So came the time that Avenger was being released and I thought to myself, hmmm...perhaps I should watch all of the characters individual movies. And so it begun! The quest to watch Thor, Captain America, Iron Man 2 and Hulk. (I never got to Hulk...)
So I watched Thor. And then I watched it again, and then I watched it one more time. And I'm pretty sure I watched it a fourth time.
Yup.
It was THAT entertaining to me. I really liked it! I've never seen Chris Hemsworth in anything else and he was great in this movie! And I enjoyed the comedic factor.  The one think I didn't understand was why Natalie Portman was in it...They could have used someone else for sure. She didn't play a big part at all and she's not even in The Avengers. Just a picture of her. Is she even going to be in Thor 2? She was probably super expensive to get for the movie too..Anyways, other then that, the movie is AWESOME! And it really did help watching that movie first before seeing Avengers.  Thors brother Loki/Tome Hiddleston was great too.  This was the first time that I have seen him act and he had the perfect cold aura about him.
At first, both Liam Hemsworth and Chris Hemsworth (Brothers) auditioned for the role of Thor and I am SO glad Chris Hemsworth got it. I'm pretty sure Liam wouldn't have been able to play it well. Plus...he bulked up like CRAZY and he's pretty delicious looking. :D

Limitless.

WOWZA. It's about time I start back up on my movie blog. I have been incredibly busy and have neglected movie watching time but I hope to change that because hell...I love movies! Okay these reviews might be a little bit fuzzy since it's been a while since I have seen them but here goes! Bradley Cooper in Limitless. I wasn't TOO keen on seeing this movie seeing as Bradley Cooper has been incredibly over-rated ever since Hangover came out, but I can't blame him right? That's beside the point though, this movie was pretty good. I wouldn't say that I loved it, but I would suggest you watch it if you have some free time and want to watch an adrenaline rushed movie. **This part may be some spoiler alerts, but I'm just trying to explain what the movie is about.** It's mainly about a man who has his rock bottom, he's a writer and is suffering through writer's block and suffering in his relationship as well. I'm sure through the previews, you know that he takes a substance, and everything changes. The concept of that substance is a pretty neat one. Unlocking the usage of the other parts of your brain? The things that can happen!
